WATER FLOATATION GARMENTS

This range of partly-inflatable garments was designed to enable the wearer to survive in critical maritim situations.
Each garment draws inspiration from water sports, especially sailing and diving, and combines the advantages of both types of clothing with characterisitcs of Ready-to-Wear.

The design goal of this project was to design clothes that feature mechanisms and functions which would allow an avid and extrem sailor to be confedent in his/her abillities and brave new waters, knowing that the clothing he/she is wearing will make sure of their survival. Each garment has inflatable compartments in different sections of the body. The layout of these inflateable chambers is designed to guarantee optimal floatation results for the wearer. In a critical situation such as a man-overboard-scenario it is neccessary to guarantee maximum visibility and floatation to increase the chance of saving the sailor.
